Lions Vs Stallions

Today we got invited to dinner by our Korean Manager.
<Sir Ben, Joan, Me, Sir Lee, Sir Jeon...sir Baek is hiding & smoking>

There is a nice lebanese restaurant near our site office beside the creek. He said "order as much as you can, do not worry" so we eat lots of kebabs (grilled) -fish, prawns, lambs and fries+hummus+arabic salad+lebanese bread. The food is great but actually if we were invited to eat their traditional kimchis and bulgogis and bibimbap served with long stainless steel chopsticks + shoju we will be more happy hihihi!
Sir Ben our oldest colleague, is going on vacation for 2weeks so we all are going to miss him especially his boss. I noticed that each korean manager have their own personal favorite staff, like their assistant or right hand.
As usual we have to get used to their korean culture, they keep quiet most of the time while we filipinos talk a lot, laugh a lot and eat a lot.
We were asked to differentiate koreans from arab management. At work, if I will compare them, "koreans are like silent lions while arabs are like wild horses". But one thing common to all nationalities at work is politics. People always want to gain advantage. Even to the extent of stepping over other people just to get ahead or to win.

No matter, it is a good chance for us, we have so many nationalities here in the UAE so we need to enjoy each one while working together. Its fun learning about other nationalities, its interesting to note our differences in language, religion, traditions and many more. Each of us represent our own country. If we can manage to join our strengths then as a group we become stronger. We just need to become more open minded and willing to accept our differences.

I believe that we are here for each other,
 not against each other.
Everything comes from an
 understanding that
you are a gift in my life -
 whoever you are,
whatever our differences.
