To: Philippines...From: The hearts of PISA

Typhoon Yolanda (haiyan), one of the most powerful storm to hit the world crashed a part of our country recently. It is very devastating. Terrible news runs through the local as well as in the international networks during the last weeks. To help even in a little way we combined our donations from the different nationalities in our workplace (filipinos, koreans, indians, lebanese...).

We bought groceries from the collected money of about 1000 dirhams. Happy to think that some 10 families from the victims will be fed for even only a few days.
Noodles, canned goods, rice, some coffee, milk and biscuits filled the grocery basket.
Then we divided the goods into 10grocery bags of equal portion so it will be distributed to 10 families.
A friend gave us these stuffed toys as a gift before but maybe the small children victims may be comforted a little bit if they have something to hug so the toys also went inside the bag.

The cargo company (LBC) sponsored a free transport of all donations to the devastated city of Tacloban so we put them inside the cargo box for delivery. It will reach the Philippines by Christmas (after 1 month).

Glimpses of the situation back in our country....
